What stays on your device
Your collection — the games you add, their statuses, ratings, notes and play sessions — is stored on your iPhone. If you leave iCloud sync on, it also syncs through your iCloud account, which only you can read. We have no server and no access to it.
What leaves your device, and to whom
The app makes requests to three public services, purely to fetch information about games:
- Steam Store (store.steampowered.com) — game details, artwork and prices.
- Wikimedia (wikidata.org, en.wikipedia.org) — data for games that are not on Steam.
- CheapShark (cheapshark.com) — current PC prices.
Those requests contain a game identifier and an app identifier
(RoyalReelGames/1.0). They carry no account, no device identifier and
nothing about you. Each of these services will see the IP address your request
arrives from, as any website does; their own privacy policies govern what they do
with it.
The optional Steam import
If you choose to import your Steam library, you supply your own Steam Web API key. It is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device only, is never synced to iCloud, and is sent only to Steam's own servers. You can remove it at any time.
Notifications
The app may ask permission to send you notifications. Granting it is entirely optional and changes nothing about what is collected — notification permission involves no personal information and no third party.
What we do not do
No analytics. No advertising. No tracking, and no tracking across other apps or websites. No third-party SDKs. No crash reporting. No user accounts. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone, because nothing is collected in the first place.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, children included.
Your data is yours
Export the whole collection to JSON or CSV at any time from Settings → Export & backup. Deleting the app deletes the local copy; removing it from your iCloud settings deletes the synced copy. Since we hold nothing, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
